Glass plate

INTERFLUX®

Glass Plate is used to measure solder wave contact times and parallelism.
Typically it is mounted in a board carrier or finger transport of a wave soldering machine and passed through the whole wave soldering process including fluxer unit and pre heating before passed over the solder wave. Its characteristics make it possible to be stopped right on top of the solder wave for easy monitoring.

The INTERFLUX® Glass Plate has marks every 1cm.

Contact times of the solder wave are calculated by using the wave contact calculator on this page.

Application

Float the INTERFLUX® density meter in the alcohol based flux in such a way that it floats free without touching the flux holder sides. Allow it to get the flux temperature for 2 minutes.

1.

read the density value displayed on the density meter.

2.

note the temperature on the build in thermometer.

3. correct the density of the flux when needed with the appropriate flux thinner
